2. Overview
This website is a static informational and portfolio site. It has no shop, contact form, newsletter, comment system, or visitor accounts, so in normal use we do not collect any personal data that you actively submit.
3. Hosting & server log files
This site is self-hosted on a server located in Germany. Each visit is automatically recorded in server log files for security and stability purposes, capturing:
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Requested page/resource and referring URL
- Browser type and version, operating system
This data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a stable and secure website. It is not merged with other data sources, not used for tracking or profiling, and is stored only for a limited period before being deleted automatically.
4. Cookies
This site sets exactly one cookie, named session. It is:
- httpOnly and strictly technical/functional
- only set when an authorized administrator logs into the content-management backend to publish or edit content
- never set for ordinary visitors browsing the public site
- not used for tracking, analytics, marketing, or any other purpose
Because this cookie is strictly necessary for a core function of the site (secure admin access) and not for tracking, it is processed under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / § 25(2) No. 2 TTDSG and does not require consent.
5. No analytics, advertising, or third-party embeds
We do not use analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics), advertising or retargeting pixels, social-media plugins, or externally hosted fonts/scripts that could set additional cookies or transmit data to third parties. All fonts used on this site are bundled and self-hosted.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15)
- request rectification (Art. 16) or erasure (Art. 17)
- request restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 21)
- data portability (Art. 20)
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in our case the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW), or the authority in your own country of residence
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy if the site's functionality changes (e.g. if a contact form or analytics is added in the future). The version published here always applies.
